Pale straw in colour with a green hues. The bouquet shows juicy apricots and has slightly reductive notes of yeast. The palate has good structure together with a well-integrated, fresh vibrant acidity, spicy aromas of white pepper and herbs paired with sour citrus fruit linger on the finish.

A real success story, the Seckingers have only been producing their own wine since 2012, before that the father supplied the grapes to well-known Deidesheim winegrowers. But two (of the three) sons studied oenology in Geisenheim and showed great interest in making wine themselves. Jonas Seckinger also did an apprenticeship at the Odinstal winery, where he also got the best access to biodynamic viticulture. In Falstaff he is one of the 'Newcomers of the Year' in 2018 and one of the greatest winemaker talents in the Palatinate. Together with his two brothers Philipp and Lukas, 14 hectares of vineyards are now cultivated organically in the tranquil town of Niederkirchen. After different maceration times, all wines are fermented spontaneously and virtually without pre-clarification (which offers the natural yeasts a greater range of nutrients), mostly in large wooden barrels and aged on the full yeast. Only in exceptional cases is it filtered and minimally sulphurised. This is how natural wines with character are created - nothing is added and nothing is taken away.
