The Impressionist Renosterbos Sauvignon Blanc

This Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa’s premier wine region is highly concentrated and aromatic. Tropical & citrus fruit jump out of the glass as the dominant aromas, with layers of herbaceous, grassy notes too. The palate delivers a hugely refreshing mouthfeel, again with tropical fruit as the primary flavour. Zesty acidity with a long, fruity finish.

Named after speed skaters who would leap over multiple barrels in barrel jumping competitions, it was a discipline of speed skating, where ice skaters build up speed to jump over a length of multiple barrels lined up, usually side by side like rollers. Occasionally barrels would also be stacked pyramid-style for height. The objective is to jump over the most barrels without landing on the barrels.
