Spirit of Hven Tycho’s Star

Tycho's star is made from a mash bill based on three types of barley. The aromas are subtle with rich, dried apricot, orange and sultanas. Elemental, medicinal peat appears with chunky barley, capsicum, black pepper, Assam tea and tar. Lovely integration. The palate shows vanilla-toffee laced dried fruit. The spirit is showing its youthfulness, but it does add a vitality. Long with the saltiness in full swing but it’s balanced by the sherried fruit. Lovely, sooty and  smoky on the finish.
