Pitch black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. The bouquet provides both intensity and complexity with ripe dark plum and liquorice scents leading the charge. Complimenting the fruit are smoky vanillin cedar, fennel, meaty notes, scorched earth and peppered herbs. Rich, powerful and expansive the palate features seductive dark plum, liquorice and to a lesser extent ripe blueberry fruits over smoky cedar, fennel, meaty earth like characters and spicy pepper. Full in body with a refined yet opulent texture it possesses tremendous depth and silky smooth tannins. Finishes very long.
