Ryoma Japanese Rum 7 Year Old

Distilled using sugarcane from the oldest sugarcane farm in Japan, this rum is left to mature in oak barrels for 7 years where it imparts a notable Caribbean flavour profile. The bouquet shows deep, rich caramel notes and hints of sweet vanilla, this rum is full flavoured yet also has a lightness to it on the finish.

Kikusui is a rum distillery located south of the archipelago on the island of Shikoku in Kuroshio, a village in the east of the Kochi prefecture known as the oldest producer of sugar cane in Japan. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was even the biggest producer. With this important local production of sugar cane, Kikusui decided to developed a new rum : the Ryoma, a unic japanese rum inspired by foreign traditional techniques.
