Rails & Trails Sauvignon Blanc

Pale straw colour with a greenish tinge to the edges and a watery hue. The bouquet features herbaceous gooseberry and grassy asparagus top notes with some citrus also evident. Vibrant herbaceous gooseberry and green apple flavours show good intensity on the palate over some passionfruit and grassy asparagus characters. Finishes dry and crisp with some subtle tropical notes sneaking through on the scrumptious finish.

It began in the mid-1960s as a quiet Midwest phenomenon barely noticed in the major metropolitan areas of Australia. The idea; to convert the abandoned or unused rail corridors which were closing at an increasingly rapid pace across Australia into public trails. These unique tracts of land have great community value as linear parks and wildlife corridors. They can easily become walking, horse riding and cycling tracks creating natural recreation areas for future generations to enjoy. This is the philosophy behind the Rail Trails movement worldwide.
