Quinta das Maias Branco

Pale straw in colour with golden hues. The bouquet shows floral notes of lime and lemon. The palate is fresh, elegant and structured, deeply refreshing - with ripe stone and citrus fruit flavours including peaches, mandarins, apricots and lemons. Fresh and crisp on the finish.

Since 1893, Quinta das Maias has operated at the base of the Star Mountain, where they possess a clear focus on environmental sustainability and look to adopt a number of organic and bio-dynamic farming methods. MAIAS wine comes from the Quinta das Maias property, which is located at about 600 meters of altitude in the foothills of Serra da Estrela. The name derives from the yellow broom that covers the slopes of the mountain and here they are called 'Mayas' because they bloom in the month of May. The wines are characterized by the freshness of grapes from vines planted at altitude and by sandy granite-based soils.
