Dark plum in colour with purple hue. The bouquet shows red and blue fruits, with lifted bergamot and exotic spice notes. Rich, hedonistic wine, with an Indian ink mid-palate, and an Earl Grey finish.

We have Faith in the Land just as our predecessors did when special parcels of the Douro Valley were demarcated by the Marquês de Pombal in 1761... Quinta da Pedra Alta is located in the heart of the Douro Valley in the Cima Corgo sub-region. The Marquis of Pombal, placed Marcos Pombalinos (stones) in the valley telling the world that these were the best vineyards in the Douro. We are the only Quinta with three of these quality markers still on our land today. We believe this is an integral part of our identity, and that is why it is reflected in our logo. We are the new owners of this land and feel strongly that it is our mission to create and share our personal interpretation by producing the wines we believe offer the best expression of this unique land. This is what we call terroir: a combination of a place and its people.
