Garnet red in colour. The bouquet shows red and black fruit aromas range from cherry to plum to currant with minerally slate and darker subtle notes of caramel, liquorice and tar adding intrigue. The palate brings floral and spice notes that give the Merlot a striking aromatic upper register that is both distinctive and alluring. Sweet red cherry, cinnamon and rose petal on the lingering finish.

Pride Mountain Vineyards is located high on the spine of the Mayacamas mountains, the geographical boundary between Napa and Sonoma Counties. In fact half of their winery is in Sonoma County including their tasting room, and the other half is in Napa County; their vineyards grow in both counties with approximately 60% of their land in Sonoma County and 40% in Napa County. Pride Mountain owns 235 acres with approximately 90 acres planted to vine. The winery is one of the more recognizable wineries in the Spring Mountain District. Our goal is to make intensely flavoured wines that reflect and honour our unique growing situation at 2100’ elevation. The vineyards mainly face south and are above the fog layer which results in vines bathed in sunshine from morning to evening throughout the growing season.
