Norman Hardie first planted vines back in 2003, after spending six years at the best cool-climate producers around the world – from South Africa to Burgundy. Today Norm is a vinous celebrity the world over, and his wines are served at top restaurants in every major city in Canada, America and across the world. The vineyards are located in Prince Edward County and Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, he strongly believes in the importance of crafting wines that taste of the place they came from. The French know this notion as 'terroir'. On a clay limestone hill in Prince Edward County, his passion for fine wine is put to the ultimate test, having selected sites in Prince Edward County and Niagara with a magical combination of clay and limestone. These mineral driven sites are ideal to allow him to craft Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and other cool climate varieties of exceptional quality and elegance.
