Golden straw in colour with green hues. The bouquet shows seductive aromas of ripe, slightly honeyed stone fruit, butterscotch and marmalade. The palate is rich and mouth-coating, there’s a seamless balance between the fruit and oak on the palate in a way that’s hard to describe, it is then joined by toasted nuts and orange blossom. Slightly wooded and perfectly structured on a long-lasting finish.

Môreson has been in the Friedman family for the past 33 years. Over the course of three generations this 30-hectare farm, located at the end of the aptly named Happy Valley Road. Pioneers of the Wine of Origin Franschhoek (#WoOF) movement, Môreson wines have been at the forefront of putting the Franschhoek Wine Appellation on the map, with winemaker Clayton Reabow at the helm, their winemaking practices are designed to impress maximum value at every stage. Minimalistic winemaking techniques, organically certified yeasts, and other organic products have almost completely eradicated the need to utilize filtration to clarify their wines. All their wines are sealed with individually-tested TCA – free natural corks. These wines are then laid down for six to 12 months before being released.
