A pale straw in colour, with some green hues. Fresh, elegant and intense bouquet. The initial aromas are fresh with citrus notes; later tropical notes, such as pineapple, are found, as well as white flowers and honey. Some notes such as coconut and soft vanilla aromas appear from the fermentation in new oak. The wine is a good combination of fresh, sweet aromas and minerality that results in an elegant and complex wine. It is very fresh and mouth filling with a well-balanced acidity that reflects the freshness. It is a great depth, elegance, soft and velvety with a persistent finish.

MENDEL Winery embodies the union of Roberto de la Mota -one of Argentina’s most respected and experienced winemakers- with an established Argentine family. Originating high in the Andes Mountains, the alluvial soils of Mendel vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo are very poor in organic material. They are sandy on top with stone and gravel below giving excellent drainage during the rare bursts of rain in Mendoza. Excellent mineral content and low amounts of nitrogen result in healthy plants, but with low vigor, which helps increase concentration of flavor in the grapes. Together we are dedicated to producing wines of unquestionable superior quality expressing the quality and character of our very old Malbec and Cabernet vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. We choose the best lots from our almost 80-year-old vineyards, paying rigorous attention to every detail of the artisan winemaking process, from carefully sorting bunches to fermentation in small tanks to aging in the finest French oak. Ancient vineyards, passionate people, experience and friendship are blended to create our remarkable wines.
