Garnet red in colour. bursting with black fruit and violet notes on the bouquet. This is rich on the palate with quite a grippy set of tannins, but all of that is lifted by a gentle sparkle and nice tart, zippy red fruit. It finishes with strong blackcurrant focus and a hint of minerality on the finish.

For over 130 years the Medici family have been at the vanguard of Lambrusco production in Italy, the home of red sparkling wine. The estate can be found in the heart of the Emilia-Romangna, in Reggio Emilia, interestingly enough, where the 'Tircolore', Italy's national flag was born in 1797! This part of central-northern Italy is coined by many to be the stomach of the nation. It offers not only Italy, but the world ingredients such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma Ham and other famous cured meats and Balsamic vinegar, not forgetting Lambrusco. The family owned winery looks after 60 hectares of vines dominated by their flagship grape variety; Lambrusco. It is important to note that Lambrusco is the name of the grape, as well as the world famous sparkling red that it is better known for.
