Brilliant pale straw in colour with a touch of green to the edges and a watery hue. The bouquet is intense showing notes of white peach, nectarine and dried honey aromas which are trailed by subtle waxy citrus notes, light biscuity oak and gun flint. Composed and long, the palate is briefed with a delicious flavour profile of white peach, nectarine and citrus fruits which are underscored by dried honey, nougat and subtle bees wax characters. Nicely rounded in its shape it finishes with plenty of vibrancy. The delightfully elegant aftertaste showing great persistence and picking up hints of cinnamon spice.

Leeuwin Estate is one of the founding wineries of the now famous Margaret River district, known for consistently producing wines that rank with the world's finest. In 1972, following an extensive search for the area most suitable to produce the best varietal wines in Australia, American winemaker, Robert Mondavi, identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard. In 1974, under the direction of Denis and Tricia Horgan a vineyard was planted, and by 1978 the Leeuwin Estate winery building was opened, celebrating with a trial vintage. Now under the direction of two generations of the founding family.
