A very light, but still complex, vibrant red wine, or is it still a rosé? In any case, the Blaufränkisch grapes were only macerated for 3 days. The result is a wine in a light carmine red, with a fruity palate of crushed raspberries, some watermelon, very light vegetal and earthy notes. A juicy, refreshing texture on the palate, light fruit sweetness, lively acidity, again this raspberry-melon mix.

Growing up in a family business in Etsdorf, Kamptal, he was born into wine. The experience he gained in South Africa with Craig Hawkins and Jurgen Gouws, and later with Tom Lubbe, was the starting point for his own career.
Above all, it was the people and their ideas and concepts of wine and work in the vineyard that stimulated him to think. The non-conformity obliged, he is not restricted by the wine law, any certifications or by the term natural wine. For him there is only one way to make wine. The work that happens in the vineyard should go into the bottle as genuinely as possible. Although this means that the steps to the bottle are minimized, he does not adopt a laissez-faire attitude, but relies on sophisticated craftsmanship. Matthias Warn is a freethinker . His wines tell stories, and in addition to the taste, texture and smell, which are clearly marked by the terroir (information), they convey his thoughts and emotions on a meta-level. A stringent and balanced line that always bears his signature.
