In the late 1800s, John Philip Wiser's, or JP as he was affectionately known, began building a business in Canada that would become known for its quality, craftsmanship and high-quality products. John Philip was the son of a Dutch farmer. Like his father, JP was a man of integrity, strong values ​​and an exceptional work ethic. And his motivation is simple, as he simply wanted to produce the highest quality whiskey. Selected ingredients and strictly controlled storage in premium barrels have been the most important pillars since the company's foundation stone was laid in 1857. The same values ​​are still essential today. Furthermore, John Philips is a firm believer in the need to take time for good things: 'Quality is something you just shouldn’t rush into. Horses should hurry, but whiskey should take its time'.
