There is a powerful and invading aroma of blackcurrant fruit with a little red fruit lift. It’s slightly meaty with a trace of leafy Coonawarra lift. Buckets up black fruits rush early then shift gear to a savoury drive courtesy of black olives, dark chocolate, dried mint and dried herbs with soft spice that line the edge of the palate. Drying with cocoa like tannins. The finish is deeply concentrated and intense yet it’s elegant and refined as you would expect from this region. It also shows structure and poise.

The Brand family legacy dates back to 1852, stretching over six generations. Today, Brand & Sons is owned and managed by fourth generation vigneron Sam Brand, producing boutique wine using high quality products from select vineyard sites across South Australia.
