Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack

Dark copper amber in colour. The bouquet is soft but insistent. Sweet then dry. Burnt brown sugar and charcoal. Slightly less overt charcoal-phenol than the regular Jack Daniel's. The palate is smooth. Very toasty. Dry on the start, but becoming surprisingly sweet, spicy, syrupy on the background. The finish shows cinnamon and citrus. A slightly richer and more restrained interpretation of Jack Daniel's.

Crafted from Mr. Jack's own private recipe, Gentleman Jack was the first new whiskey from the Jack Daniel distillery in over 100 years. It is a distinctively smooth, rich whiskey, distilled and aged to perfection by the genuinely good-natured folks at America's oldest distillery. Gentleman Jack's smooth character is a result of Mr. Jack's dedication to the old-time charcoal-mellowing method. Unlike any whiskey in the world, Gentleman Jack is charcoal-mellowed twice - once before it's aged in those charred white oak barrels, and once again four years later before it's bottled. It receives what the whiskey tasters here in the Jack Daniel's Hollow call "a double blessing" from the charcoal mellowing process. It's been aged for a minimum of four years in a charred oak barrels in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
