Light straw with hues of green around the rim. The bouquet shows tropical but intensely maritime, with pineapple and passion fruit interwoven with seaweed, wet stone and sea spray notes. Salty and intensely mineral driven on the palate, with a surprising depth of fruit that is balanced by the minerality and focused acidity on the finish.

The largest and oldest wine producer in the Azores continues to respect and preserve the way our ancestors made wine. It is this culture of respect for our history and traditions, combined with the irreverence of new knowledge, that make our wines the best in the Azores. The Cooperativa Vitivinícola da Ilha do Pico was founded in 1949 , as a result of the efforts of the producers, in an attempt to recover the noble grape varieties and the culture of vineyards in a stone corral, which today constitutes a landscape classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. At the Cooperative, the grapes harvested by hand from the rocky vineyards allow us to preserve the authentic culture that used simple and fragile basalt stone walls to protect the vineyard, which would stubbornly thrive, from the adverse weather conditions that are felt in this Insular Portugal. Techniques, arts and centuries-old traditions that are still today the way to make wine from the stone.
