Grão Vasco wines are named after Portuguese Renaissance painter Vasco Fernandes (1480 – 1543) and his famed portrait of Saint Peter is featured on the label. Unoaked - Ruby red in colour. The bouquet shows lively aromas of strawberries, blackberries and cherries are married with subtle floral nuances. It is smooth on the palate with round tannins and a refreshing acidity on the finish.

Named after the Duke of Viseu, a title first held by Prince Henry the Navigator – the initiator of the Portuguese age of discovery, these modern wines are made at the Quinta dos Carvalhais winery by the talented Beatriz Cabral de Almeida. A blend of estate-grown fruit from Quinta dos Carvalhais and grapes bought in from trusted growers, the wines are vibrant and fruit forward, showcasing the signature freshness of the Dão region. The quality of the Duque de Viseu wines is ensured by the quality-focussed and sustainable approach that goes beyond the Quinta dos Carvalhais estate. They have invested heavily in the vineyards of their contract growers, many of whom they have worked with for over 20 years. This allows the growers to produce the top-quality fruit and who also adhere to sustainable practices.
