A pale straw in colour. The bouquet shows felt shades of ripe fruit, grapes and green apple and refreshing touches limestone. The palate is fresh, harmonious, perfectly captures the varietal characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. Sustainable finish with fruity accents and mineral tones. The wine portrays perfectly the terroir of the Pouilly sur Loire region.

The history of this excellent vineyard was started in 1945 by Marcel Gitton, who owned less than half a hectare of land in the picturesque district of Sancerre. Today, Gitton Père & Fils covers more than 27 hectares of crops in the heart of Sancerre, set in diverse and characteristic soils of the region, and smaller plots of land in Pouilly Fumé, Coteaux de Giennois and Cotes de Duras. The Gitton business as such, created by their son Pascal, now covers 33 hectares which he runs with his Australian wife Denise, and their daughter Chanel. each plot has its own specifics and soil, the individual grapes are vinified separately to preserve the subtle differences of the terroir. All wines are bottled on the property and the Gitton family oversees the entire process.
