El Garbi Blanco

Pale straw in colour. The bouquet is elegant and complex with notes of white fruit, citrus and orange blossom. Textured and long on the palate, with flavours of toasted brioche, fennel and aniseed, it brings aromas of apricot, white stone fruits and complex spices to the fore. Persistent with characteristic freshness and mineral notes on the finish.

El Garbi is the Arab wind that blows through the vineyard and plays a vital role in ventilating the canopy and bringing warmth to the high-altitude sites. Located south of Priorat, Terra Alta sits in a highland region of southern Catalonia. It has all of the fundamentals of a great wine-producing region at its disposal. All it lacks is investment, so that’s what we did. We tasted the fruits, saw the obvious potential and invested. We invested in equipment, the finest French oak and most importantly we invested in a family who for five generations have been growing grapes and making wine in the region. The result? Two wines that prove Terra Alta’s bright future has already begun.
