Clear, burnished copper in colour. Named 'Le Chemin des Moines' or 'The Monk’s Path', this artisanal herbal Liqueur de Grandmont harks back to the Middle Ages when herbal concoctions served medicinal and religious purposes. The palate offers a silky smooth texture with notes of angelica, wildflowers, fresh grass, zesty verbena and honey, along with a subtle hint of turmeric, culminating in a subtle smoky camphor finish.

Distillerie de Grandmont looks back through history to recapture the liqueurs of the past using traditional, old-fashioned methods of production. Founder Karim Karroum became obsessed with vintage alcohols after opening a 1959 Saint-Emilion in 1997; he then started 'Les Petits Celliers' an online vintage cellar, and scoured local bistros for hidden gems in untouched French regions. Disillusioned with modern approaches to aperitifs, Karroum established Distillerie de Grandmont in Limousin, recreating these lost treasures of French gastronomy using only wild, natural ingredients as they were made in the past.
