Descregut Vermell Blanco

Orange yellow in colour. The bouquet shows low aromatic intensity, but delicate with a great complexity: it presents white fruit (apple and pear), citrus, smoked, notes of earth and mushrooms, and a tip of red strawberries very typical of the variety thanks to the tannins. The palate has amplitude, soft, silky and elegant on a mineral background. Persistent on the finish with mineral notes.

Husband and wife Marc Mila and Arantxa de Cara Insensé bought and rejuvenated the 19th century farmhouse at Can Descregut, Alt Penedes in 1990 but it wasn’t until 2005 that they began making their own wine. From the start they have farmed organically, following biodynamic principles and seeking to make wines that express the complexity and elegance of native Catalan varietals with minimal intervention.
