The bouquet is packed with berries and spice with a darker background of black olive and freshly turned earth. There is a luscious plum, blueberry, blackberry and raspberry core with secondary notes of clove and nutmeg. Delicate nuances are revealed, with floral notes appearing on the bouquet and palate. The tannins are fine and mineral, holding the wine together unobtrusively. The fruit purity is the real star on the finish which shows great poise.

Since 1912 the Osborn family have tended vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Every vineyard has a personality which we encourage to flourish with minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery. Through time honoured techniques such as open fermentation, foot treading and basket pressing, this personality is allowed to shine. Harmony between environmental sustainability and wine industry practice is a strong commitment upheld at d'Arenberg, with the aim to pass on a sustainable business to the next generation. Today fourth generation family member, Chester, makes distinctive wines using traditional methods both in the vineyard and the winery.
