The bouquet has hints of Granny Smith apples and brioche with grilled nuts. It has a fine bead with a creamy and vibrant mousse. The palate is dry, delicate and balanced with fresh oyster shell and lemon like acidity. There is a distinct grapefruit pith character which is long and mineral that rounds out the complex palate. The creamy Chardonnay character on the palate adds richness and polish. The finish grows considerably with great minerality and complexity with poise and focus.

Since 1912 the Osborn family have tended vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Every vineyard has a personality which we encourage to flourish with minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery. Through time honoured techniques such as open fermentation, foot treading and basket pressing, this personality is allowed to shine. Harmony between environmental sustainability and wine industry practice is a strong commitment upheld at d'Arenberg, with the aim to pass on a sustainable business to the next generation. Today fourth generation family member, Chester, makes distinctive wines using traditional methods both in the vineyard and the winery.
