The bouquet shows a lot of coriander and the juniper is clear with a touch of cardamom to finish. The palate begins where the bouquet leaves off and cardamom is at the forefront with some sweet orange peel coming through to help give this gin its distinctive length on the finish. It's apparently named after Mr. Copperhead, an alchemist who was searching for the 'elixir of life' and accidentally produced this Gin along the way. Result! It first hits you with sweet and citrus aromas and flavours, followed by a persistent juniper tang and honeyed sweetness.

Copperhead Gin created by Yvan Vindevogel, a famous Belgian pharmacist who was very interested in the healing aspects of gin. The name Copperhead not only highlights the copper alembic used for its production but also the Agkistrodon contortrix snake (AKA Copperhead) which is the pharmacies symbol of health. This symbol is clearly printed on the label also. Copperhead brings the alchemist history of Gin back to the spotlight. For centuries alchemists were looking for their 'Elixir of Life'; a way of extending life until eternity; which they made of juniper berries. The medicinal effect of the berries is known since dawn and ingrained in society thereby making proto-type gin an extremely popular product as a medicine. The botanical blend is a little simpler than some of the new wave gins that have been launched recently. It is comprised of 5 botanicals- juniper, coriander, cardamom, orange peel and angelica. The balance of this mix is absolutely perfect.
