Casas del Bosque Gran Reserva Chardonnay

Pale straw in colour. The bouquet shows dried apricots, lemon and gunflint. The barrels add hints of hay and caramel. The palate brings oak which gives a strong hint of popcorn and buttered apple. Creamy, spiced pumpkin, melon and vanilla notes come to the fore. A buttery character persists on the finish.

For many years, Juan Cuneo Solari, the son of an Italian immigrant, dreamed of having his own vineyards to produce the best quality wines. In 1993, he finally founded his winery in the Casablanca Valley, Casas del Bosque. He was one of the first to use the area for this purpose. Since then, the valley has seen a boom in popularity, and Casas del Bosque has become one of the few family wineries of the valley. The great forests of ancient pine and olive plants and the small, abandoned white adobe houses were the key factors in determining the location of the vineyard and the manor house, giving it the name Casas del Bosque, or 'Houses of the Forest'. The philosophy of Casas del Bosque is based on the constant search for excellence. The process is closely supervised by our professionals who take care of every single detail. In our terroir we combine the optimum conditions of soil, climate, and management to develop wines with character and a unique seal. Our commitment to the environment is part of our philosophy.
