Ruby red in colour. The bouquet is concentrated, full of aromas of red fruits and dried cherries. Full-bodied on the palate, it shows lovely balance between an opulent cherry-pie character and supple structure. The finish is long with a mouth-watering bitter-cherry twist.

From hillside vineyards in the Valpantena Valley, production in the area – including the two famous Soave and Valpolicella DOCs – has expanded rapidly over the years; however, the producers continue to source from the original sites above the fertile plains of the Adige river, where yields are closely monitored to produce quality grapes. Alpha Zeta is produced by Luca Degani, with years of experience at Cantina Valpantena, and leading New Zealand winemaker, Matt Thomson. There vision is to combine both international and home-grown expertise to produce a range of high quality wines from indigenous grape varieties. Matt works closely with local growers to select parcels of fruit.
