Adegas Valtea is close to the Atlantic Ocean, about 30km from both Vigo and Ourense, the two major cities in this part of Galicia where the demoniación Rías Baixas is located. This is the Atlantic, cool, humid and above all green part of Spain that produces perhaps the best white wines in the country. Adegas Valtea is located in an area with a special microclimate that allows the grapes to reach the maturity necessary for the production of excellent wines. All the vines used to make Adegas Valtea wines have a total area of 230,000 square meters. On the banks of the river Miño facing north-south, the vineyards of Adegas Valtea develop on an irregular terrain with a slight slope formed by steps or balconies hanging over the Miño basin.
